![]() ![]() Sony Pictures and producer Avi Arad’s attempt to reboot Spider-Man is one of those model examples of how not to build a cinematic universe. We have thus elected to not include them in the ranking of Spidey-led movies. *Editor’s Note: While Peter Parker did appear in several Avengers films, as well as Captain America: Civil War, he was a supporting player in all three. So we here at Den of Geek have put our heads together and polled our staff to come up with the definitive ranking of wallcrawler flicks, from worst to best. Yet while Spidey has been fortunate to lead a number of good movies, some are better than others, and several more missed the Staten Island Ferry completley. Heck, there are those out there who will defend the Andrew Garfield years. Indeed, alongside Batman, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has probably been blessed with the most consistent series of superhero movies released by Hollywood, with millions of fans ready to swear that either Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland, or the kaleidoscopic animation led by Miles Morales (and Shameik Moore’s voice) is the best Spidey. Still, not all webs are created equal, and some of those captured thieves have made for better cinematic opponents than others. And across 10 theatrically released films, in live-action and animation both, he (or sometimes she) has spun a web any size, catching those thieves just like flies. Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17 later this year.It really is true: Spider-Man does whatever a spider can. After all, with the MCU taking on the multiverse, anything is possible these days. While it's truly unlikely that Topher Grace will be back, it isn't impossible. ![]() ![]() This certainly makes it seem like Sony isn't really looking to bring Topher Grace back-especially since many fans believed his version of Venom to be quite terrible though that didn't stop them from potentially bringing back Electro. In fact, Venom: Let There Be Carnage director Andy Serkis outright confirmed that the famous symbiote will cross paths with Tom Holland's Peter Parker at some point in the future. There have been plenty of rumors of Hardy's Eddie Brock joining the MCU in some fashion. There is only one Venom that Sony is focused on right now, who is played by Tom Hardy. But what are the chances of him showing up? It's kind of a silly question to ask and then expect a straight-up answer. Again, please keep between us." Will There Be Grace? Probably not.Ĭlearly, Topher Grace is just making up things. Not to give too much away but there are also some actors from the original 70s Spiderman show, Aquaman and Batman (Affleck, not Keaton) crossover, and thanks to Disney Han Solo’s ghost from Rise of Skywalker, and that Eve robot from Wall-E. Then Tom Hardy and I pop out and battle each other and I win (obvi), it’s like not even a fight I just kick his ass immediately. Then Electro and the Green Goblin hop out of one of those 'energy circles' and they’re like “It’s spider stompin time”. Octopus (Alfred Molina) comes into his dimension. The plot starts with Peter Parker (Tom Holland) bummed that everyone knows his identity and then some crazy shit happens with Dr. "Please keep it between us but yes, I am in it. It's hard to know what answer this fan was hoping for, but Grace gave a funny and sarcastic answer, one which revealed that the upcoming film would also have "some actors from the original 70s Spiderman show, Aquaman, and Batman (Affleck, not Keaton):" Will he be making an appearance? Will Topher Grace Return? Spoder-Man 3ĭuring a Reddit AMA, actor Topher Grace, who portrayed Eddie Brock aka Venom in Spider-Man 3, was asked whether he was going to be a part of Spider-Man: No Way Home. One of the names that hasn't popped up in the rumor mill is that of Topher Grace, who brought Venom to the big screen before Tom Hardy did. Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus was seen outright, Willem Dafoe's pumpkin bombs made an appearance, and there were several key teases for names like Electro and Sandman. What the trailer did reveal is that villains from previous films are in fact returning to the fray. The many rumors about the return of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire certainly made their way around. This was as clear as ever when the very first trailer for the film blew past the record-breaking numbers of Avengers: Endgame-a feat no one thought possible. While Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is doing well both critically and financially, it can't hold a candle to how fans are feeling about MCU's last outing of 2021. Spider-Man: No Way Home has been the most anticipated comic book film for quite some time now. ![]()
